The third movement of the Serenade # 10 for Winds, K 361

is truly a beautiful and relaxing song.

Oboes, Basset horns, bassons, horns and double bass,

perfectly blended in a way that if this was dinner you'd want to kiss the cook!

Did any of you catch the serenade in the recent film "Bright Star"? The Serenade is sung a capella during the film and at the end of the film this music plays while John Keats' Ode to a Nightingale is recited.

The 14th Annual Multicultural Festival in Oxnard CA

Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The familiar, overcast skies of Oxnard did not stop crowds from attending the 14th Annual Multicultural Festival. The gray skies and light drizzle provided but a comfortable relief from the sun for all those who came to celebrate diversity and respect.

Amadeus LST attended the Multicultural Festival and delighted in all the vendors of various arts and crafts, the music and the food vendors; in particular, the funnel cakes.

Our visit to the festival was brief as the rain clouds produced a sudden spike in calls for taxicabs. All available drivers and dispatchers had to leave the festival and rush back to Amadeus Headquarters to successfully provide the services requested.

Opera Night with Amadeus LST!

Let's see: world-renowned Tenor and Conductor (Placido Domingo) conducts the world-renowned Los Angeles Philharmonic and a cast full of amazingly talented singers in one of the most beloved of all opera pieces of all time.

Bravo! This is the formula for operatic success. There may be a few more showings and a possible 25% discount for the remaining shows; so don’t think twice about going!

The LA Opera's performance of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro will charm both newcomer's to the world of opera and those who whistle operatic melodies when they wash the dishes.

From the charm of the opening notes of the overture, through the famous ditties (Non Piu Andrai, Voi Che Sapete, and more) and the complex plot, The Marriage of Figaro was a crowd pleaser and ended with the flare of theatrical fireworks.

After the cast took their bows, they were joined on stage by maestro Placido Domingo. The already delighted audience immediately gave Placido a much deserved standing ovation!

Amadeus LST Limo*Shuttle*Taxi had the distinct pleasure and honor to meet Vinny from the up and coming reggaeton duo Vinny & Dinky. Vinny is here on the West Coast, away from his hometown of Boston to serve his country as part of the United States Air Force. He is currently on base in Port Hueneme, CA.

Vinny found Amadeus through Google and he is certainly glad he found the right company for all his Limo*Shuttle*Taxi needs! Young Wolfie and company had the opportunity to take Vinny to a business networking event and then party the night away reggaeton style in Downtown Ventura.

Vinny & Dinky who have been considered locally a vital thread in the fabric of underground music has overcome time and adversity to become a duo that has been able to produce ear candy where there unique voices, not only pleases your ears but also have the ability to touch your heart.

Their musical connection became apparent in 2003 when Dinky (Damian Benitez) began performing at the age of 16 at a venue at a popular Boston Night Club, when before the performance Vinny (Vicente Rivera) had been uncontrollably excited about the event and began singing alongside friends in a mom-borrowed Pontiac on the way to the Showcase to Open up for none other than the "Queen of Reggaeton" herself "Ivy Queen". It was then decided that fateful night that these young talented Latin prospects possessed the chemistry to melt there own interpretations of great music and produce individually a sync sound that could penetrate cultural barriers, being born in the States, but being raised with the essence of their Latin Heritage

Their ability to entertain the crowd has always left fans and new listeners alike wanting more. Their most recent accomplishments include receiving an award for being recognized as "Boston's Hottest Reggaeton Duo" by El Kan Radio Show, also reaching to the number ten spot on a record pool chart, notably receiving on their website over a hundred thousand plays in a short matter of time. This incredibly talented duo also understand the importance of music and community. They have consistently performed every summer for the past four years consecutively for an outreach program for teens in the community who promote health awareness through community events and Latin festivals.

Although these boys have successfully been able to craft their unique sound, the process did take much help and patience. There first steps as recording artists in the music industry was guided by "Loyalty Records". A label that was a branch of the Luny Tune's Movement who were affiliated with such artists as Mr. Phillips, Yoseph, Roca y Gammi, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Lui-G, Zion y Lennox, amongst other top recording artist. There they had recorded there first songs which eventually helped them create a local buzz seeing as that, at the time Vinny, himself was a DJ mixing his songs with the popular tunes at that time. Their local notoriety became international after releasing "Baila Mi Reggaetona" reaching No.2 on a syndicated radio show in Columbia, while there music was being played by Dj's all across the country.

The first ever Mixinarty: presented by the Young Professional Group of Ventura’s Chamber of Commerce.

The most anticipated networking mixer of the year took place this last Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 and judging by the looks of those in attendance all expectations were easily met and surpassed.

Event took place at the newly renovated Museum of Ventura County: The Museum of Ventura County celebrates, preserves and interprets the art, history and culture of Ventura County, the California Channel Islands and the surrounding region through collections, exhibitions, events, education programs, publications and its research library, and serves as a gathering place for the community.

Sam Hishmeh, the featured guest speaker, gave his advice & tips for the young professionals in their business. Hishmeh is the president of Hishmeh Enterprises Inc., DBA Domino’s Pizza, and his advice was much welcomed by the eager crowd of young professionals seeking to make their mark in Ventura County commerce.

Live music by Mini Driver kept the enthusiastic crowd dancing and grooving even as business deals were being discussed.

It was a lovely evening indeed and many didn’t want the night to end so soon. So, as a result, the wristband provided to each young professional earned you discounts at various hot spots of Downtown Ventura after the event. To which places, with speedy steps since it was a bit chilly, many revelers of the night made their way for a good continuation of the first ever Mixinarty!

Amadeus LST was in full attendance at the Topa Tower Club in Oxnard, CA for the Timur Taluy for Harbor Commissioner Campaign. Besides being a good client of Amadeus, Timur Taluy is also a great candidate for the position; young and passionate with many new ideas to revitalize the Harbor. Election will take place on Nov.2, 2010. Good luck Timur! If you don’t already have a candidate in mind, please remember and consider Timur Taluy.

Upon arrival guests had the chance to mix and mingle. Amadeus LST had the opportunity to connect with Web Servant (web development and SEO services), Geno Melena of Red Eye Construction, the Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard and Port Hueneme, Photonconcepts, Ross Ruiz of Main Course California (Restaurant, Catering, & Personal Chef), Jose Valenzuela of Wells Fargo, Amie Valenzuela of Nu Skin, and many more. Appetizers were on hand as well as plenty of picture-taking. Timur addressed his supporters in a concise and informative speech, relating his proposed agenda for the Harbor Commissioner post.

The evening concluded with the sun setting over the Channel Islands which all in attendance could see from the tops of the Topa Tower. Many guests lingered on to conversate with Timur and to participate in general festivities and good ambiance.

It's the little things that matter, so we're told.

Today Wolfie ventured into Walmart to buy some motor oil.

10w-40 synthetic, 5 Quarts of the Mobile 1 Brand is $21 plus tax.

This is a great deal and you can find all the grades of Mobile 1 for the

same price. Don't forget to buy your oil filter. The point here is that

if you know someone to change your oil or you do it yourself, great!

If not, some mechanics let you buy your parts and oil on your own and

then charge you only the service fee. Shop around, you might spend less

as we did on the oil change for our PT Cruiser; about 50% less.

Now who doesn't like saving a few bucks. Save your money for the finer things

There was standing room only last night, August 19, 2010, to hear newly elected President and CEO of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce Sandra Walker! Those in attendance were truly lucky to be there and hear an amazingly inspiring speech from President Walker.

Event was catered with tasty treats at the Topa Tower Club. Amadeus LST Limo Shuttle Taxi had several vehicles there ready do rescue the thirstiest of attendees or to transport the party crowd to the after party!

Event organizer was the Young Leaders Society of Ventura County. The Young Leaders Society (YLS) spearheads a movement of passionate, young, successful, professionals that GIVE, ADVOCATE and VOLUNTEER in their community. Far too many young people are falling through the cracks and the Young Leaders Society has developed a three-prong approach to addressing generational challenges facing our young people today. The Young Leaders Society helps advance the common good by creating opportunities to empower young people by advocating for educational advancement, preparing youth for a smooth transition into the workforce, and helping develop leadership values that inspire philanthropy and volunteerism.

In this blog entry you will learn the significance of the number 1756 to Amadeus LST, Inc and to the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27. That's just 10 days after the Northridge, CA Earthquake on Jan. 17. Well except that Mozart was born in the year 1756 and Southern California shook, rattled, and rolled in 1994. That was a nice refresher course of history both near and far!

So, Mozart was born in 1756 and baptized Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart; but since we're now more than familiar with Wolfgang we'll just refer to him as Wolfie. He was born to daddy Leopold Mozart and mama Anna Maria Petrl Mozart on 9 Getreidegasse in Salzburg.

When Amadeus Limousine and Shuttle Service decided to diversify the services offered into the taxicab realm, one requirement of the City of Oxnard ordinances was to assign the vehicle a taxi cab number.

We could have chosen 1 , 01 or 001 as the PT Cruiser was going to be the first vehicle of our taxi fleet. Yes, we could have chosen a simple number like that. But Amadeus is just a little bit more creative than that and like good humans, we like to complicate things just as much as anybody else.

So we went for a number that would metaphorically demonstrate to all of Oxnard and Ventura that a new sector of Amadeus had just been born: Amadeus Taxi !

The rest is now history ! Amadeus Taxi is still young and continues to grow. Wolfie isn't very young anymore and has long finished de-composing (you're allowed a chuckle) but we still like that guy.

This taxi set a trend for all taxis in Ventura and taxis in Oxnard; companies can offer vehicles besides the old, resurrected cop-cars (Crown Victorias). Other companies have followed suite and copied the style of Amadeus (hope you music buffs enjoy the lingo). Within our own company, we continue to assign our taxi cabs significant numbers from Wolfie's life.

What could these be? That will be for another time. Thanks and we hope that you've enjoyed the show!
